Favorites is a system-wide feature that I designed for webOS 2.0 and then adapted in webOS 3.0. I designed favorites to be about the person, rather than about their phone number, email address, etc. I worked closely with several different teams to create this feature, including Framework, Phone, Contacts, and Messaging.

Role: Lead interaction designer

Process: I took favorites from start to finish, including initial research, concepting, conceptualizing a system-wide design, and finally designing out app specific behavior.

Key Design Decisions: Favorites are people, not numbers. Favorites can be reordered in different apps so that each person the user talks to most in that app is just a touch away.

Deliverables: Wireframes, documentation, behavioral specs, implementation support

What People Are Saying:

"The ability to tag certain contacts as 'Favorites' in webOS 2.0 provides you a way to more quickly access those contacts in webOS, at times without the need to slide open the keyboard."  - PreCentral
